UAR Partners with ZERO
UAR and ZERO have entered into a partnership to raise awareness of the disease and to help UAR achieve its goal of providing 1,000 free men's health screenings by the end of 2010.
ZERO - The Project to End Prostate Cancer (www.zerocancer.org) – stands for zero tolerance for prostate cancer. The organization is committed not only to reducing prostate cancer, but to ending the disease. ZERO conducts free prostate-cancer testing across the country.
UAR's free screening program, "The Drive Against Prostate Cancer – in partnership with ZERO," will be offered at all of the practice's locations and at area businesses, health fairs and sporting events. This fall, ZERO's 39-foot mobile unit, providing free and confidential PSA testing, will make local stops during Rochester Wellfest 2010 (Oct. 6) and Senator Jim Alesi's Health Fair (Oct. 7).
UAR and Brother Wease at Frontier Field!
Urology Associates of Rochester and The Fox's Brother Wease at Frontier Field on Father's Day, June 20th, 2010 was a huge success as they celebrated Prostate Cancer Awareness with the Rochester Red Wings! UAR had done over 50 free PSA blood screenings to all men over 40!
$4,610.00 was raised from the silent auction of authentic Rochester Red Wings jerseys, designed specifically for Prostate Cancer awareness Day at Frontier Field that were worn and signed by the players themselves. The money raised has been donated to Ed Randall's Bat for the Cure charity. Check out this message from Ed Randall broadcast at Frontier Field when UAR was at the games doing free screenings.
